Sun Coast Certs is on a mission to lower drowning statistics around pools and other bodies of water in the community and to educate the public on the importance of aquatic safety and emergency preparedness to keep the public safe from unnecessary tragedies.
Our Mission
Our Lifeguard Training course includes a 10-hour blended learning online portion that you can complete at your own pace. This portion includes interactive modules that cover crucial topics such as water safety, rescue techniques, and emergency response. It is designed to prepare you for the in-person training sessions and ensure that you have a solid understanding of the concepts before you hit the pool.
Online Portion
This fully-immersive course will start and end in the water. Students will be expected to proficiently complete the prerequisite swim tests before continuing the training. The instructor will then provide all the proper hands-on training for various rescues including active victims, passive victims, and even spinal injuries. Students will conclude the program by testing out their skills in the final scenarios.
With a focus in emergency CPR and AED training, students will be confident in their ability to save a life right out of the pool. Water rescues are just half of the knowledge as students will dive into the comprehensive skills of lifeguarding. Our class trains with the latest and most realistic training equipment used by the best professionals in the industry.
